The headmaster appeared on the NHK TV program, Kamigata club on the13th of April. He explained what Sencha was like for about one hour. At the beginning of the program he answered questions asked by the viewers. One person asked what kind of occupation he would have chosen if he had not chosen to become a headmaster. He answered that he would have become a doctor or a painter, assuming that he had the necessary talents. His answer revealed a surprising part of his character. Most of his pupils must have been surprised to find out about his new side of his character.
He made some Gyokuro tea and served it to the two MCs. They were astonished by the sweetness of the tea and tried to express how delicious they thought it was not only with the words but also by their facial expression. Several scenes from a past program, Sekai wagakokoro no tabi, were televised again after tea tasting. The scene introduced how the headmaster had researched the history of tea culture in China for more than 30years.
The Website of Ogawa School will report his activity as soon as possible.
